FC Rubin Kazan have drawn with FC Arsenal Tula in a RPL gameweek 8 away game making a comeback despite being two balls down.
The game opened with an amazing chance for our team as Sardar Azmoun was one-on-one only to shoot off target despite looking for a top corner goal. If Sardar had scored, the flow of the game could have been different. Eventually, Arsenal Tula opened the score after Mohammed Abdul Kadiri´s finish following a corner delivery. As a result, FC Arsenal were inspired with their early goal and dominated the first half.
The second half started with FC Rubin substitutions and despite being more creative now, our boys conceded again following Zelimkhan Bakaev´s powerful short-range shot after the ball had hit the bar.
Despite the outcome seemed to be clear to the home side audince, our boys were strong enough to score after an amazing flowing attack finished by Igor Konovalov. Immediately, a penalty was awarded to FC Rubin after Sardar Azmoun had been fouled but, unfortunately, Khoren Bayramyan´s low corner kick was denied by Artur Nigmatullin. Our boys did not give up which resulted in Filip Uremovic's equalizer scored in stoppage time!
It's been a thrilling 2-2 draw.
As you may remember our games in Tula have never been easy for us with no away wins there so far.
