FC Rubin lost 0:1 in today´s home game against CSKA within ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Championship MD18
There have been some changes in the starting line-ups of both teams. As for Rubin it is Ilzat Akhmetov who makes his debut in the current season, in case of CSKA it is Mario Fernandez although it has been announced that Mario is not coming to Kazan.
It is Rubin who dominate in the first ten minutes of the first half. It is Maxim Kanunnikov who is having the best chance to score as he gets one-on-one but shoots off target though it is quite close. Moritz Bauer is having another good opportunity with a short-range shot. As for CSKA, they are also having their chances with Pontus Wernbloom who has been a striker in the recent matches. The second chance is converted by Wernbloom who finishes after Sergey Ignashevich’s shoot from inside the box.
There are fewer chances in the second half for both sides with CSKA getting a penalty kick awarded in the stoppage time but Soslan Dzhanaev makes another brilliant penalty save after Natcho’s shot.
